eaten most extensively by cedar waxwings; foliage provides nesting and

roosting cover for sparrows, robins, mockingbirds, juncos, and warblers.

Other Uses & Notes: Develops deep roots, works well for windbreaks and screens, tolerates heat, wind, and salt. *Eastern Red Cedar should not be planted near apple trees due to cedar apple rust.*
